We’re stronger when we work together to lift other women up! For the last three years, EvolveMe has elevated stories of women who’ve reinvented their careers in their 40s, 50, 60s, and beyond in our "How She Did It" blog series.
These incredible women are thriving in their next chapters! And you can too.
We’ve curated a slice of wisdom – mantras that have helped these women power through setbacks and reach their dream careers in midlife.
How you talk to yourself impacts what you can accomplish in work and life. We’ve all faced those inner voices that tell us we’re a fraud, not good enough, or qualified enough – the imposter inside of us. Even the most accomplished women are not immune...
“You think, why would anyone want to see me again in a movie? And I don’t know how to act anyway, so why am I doing this?”
– Meryl Streep
The beliefs we carry around feel true to us -- but so many women feel trapped by thoughts that no longer serve them in their life and career.
One way to tame these inner voices is through the insight of other women like you who’ve also felt the same way.
If your inner voices are working against you – at whatever stage you’re in your career – check out these personal mantras from inspiring women in the EvolveMe community fueling change.

"If you haven't already, do the one thing you've always wanted to do. You owe it to yourself to try." -Ramona Thomas
Now try these 3 steps to create your own midlife mantra: Step 1: Identify a negative voice in your head that comes to you when you make a mistake.
Step 2 Write it down. Get it out of your head and onto paper or a digital notebook. This gives the negative voice less power over you.
Step 3 Reframe that voice as if you were talking to a best friend. What would you tell her?
Here’s an example: Instead of: They’ll find out I’m not qualified to do this job – especially not at my age! Try: You have the expertise (and perspective!) to share that comes from years of experience in the workforce. You’ve got this!
Don’t go at it alone! We’re better together.
